This illuminated desk globe by COLUMBUS Globus is made of shatterproof, heat-resistant acrylic glass and radiates a special fascination thanks to its hand-laminated surface. The base and matching meridian ring are crafted from brushed stainless steel with a matte finish.
The various map images are carefully laminated onto a plastic sphere by hand. The known portion of Pluto is rendered as a map, while the unknown portion is schematically visualized through its colors.
