The COLUMBUS Starry Sky globe shows the various constellations and the Milky Way. The stars are divided into five categories: stars of the first, second, third, fourth and fifth magnitude.
This illuminated desk globe by COLUMBUS Globus is made of shatter- and heat-resistant acrylic glass and radiates a special fascination with its hand-laminated surface. The base and matching meridian ring are made of brushed stainless steel in a matte finish.
The various map images are carefully hand-laminated onto a plastic sphere. For the Columbus planetary globes, too, the 12 segments are laminated on by hand by a professional laminator with great attention to detail.
